In Japan, we have a celebration when a child turns 3, 5 and 7 wishing for their health and well-being. For a girl, in the year when she turns 3 and 7, twice but for a boy once in the year when he turns 5. It's called Shichi-Go-San, which means 7,5,3 in Japanese.
Simple right?
This year, my son Haruki turned 5 years old so we went to the Atsuta Shrine to celebrate.
753 is in November.
We hope they are healthy for their lives Michi Do you want to learn Japanese in Halifax for free? Check this out!
